Heidi M. Bretthauer is the President and Owner of Gateway Equities, Inc. Incorporated in 2007, specializing in strategic acquisitions, development and consulting. She joined South Bay Realty in 2011 from First Real Estate Companies as a Land Specialist.  Heidi has over 20 years of experience in land acquisitions, entitlements and development.  Over her career she negotiated and closed transactions totaling over 550 million dollars, exclusively marketed commercial land totaling over 85 million dollars. Prior to starting Gateway Equities, Inc. Heidi spent four and half years as the Vice President of Land Acquisitions and Entitlements for the Las Vegas South Division of Pulte Homes, one of the largest markets for the Fortune 150 company that has been honored as “America’s Best Builder.”  In 2006, the Las Vegas South Division closed 2384 homes under the Pulte Homes, Del Webb and Sun City brands.In this position, she managed a team who successfully negotiated, purchased and entitled numerous residential single and multi family properties.  Heidi played a key role in defining the strategy and tactical planning for future acquisitions.Prior to Pulte Homes, Heidi held various positions within the homebuilding industry with experience in acquisitions, entitlements, land development, forward planning and engineering, construction, customer service, sales, and environmental assessments.In Heidi’s career, she has been responsible for acquiring, entitling and/or developing land into communities that have ranged in size from 20 homes to large master plans of 10,000 plus homes; mid-rise communities with 4 and 5 story buildings with podium parking, various mixed use developments, commercial centers, assisted living facilities and a hotel/casino project.Specialties: In 2006, Heidi was named one of the “Top 40 Under 40 Business People in Las Vegas” by In Business Las Vegas.  She was also featured in the annual “Who’s Who in Real Estate” publication in 2006 and 2008. Heidi serves on the Advisory Board for the Nevada chapter of the Special Olympics organization. She is a native of Nevada and holds a B.S.
