  • Itm Power
    Process Engineer
    Itm Power Jan 2022 - Sep 2024
    Sheffield, England, United Kingdom
During my time at ITM Power, the main focus was on the first stage of the production line. All manufacturing equipment projects had to go through multiple stages to ensure it was ready for production use. Each project had an allocated team from multiple departments to sign off the tasks at each stage. Without the sign off the project could not progress. My tasks included the drafting of process documentation and updating floor plans, capacity and capability studies, Measurement System Analysis and Run@Rates, amongst other things. At each stage it was crucial to communicate with various departments such as, Quality, Maintenance and R&D to gather all supporting documents. One of the most important tasks in the projects was to frequently visit machine suppliers. I made a number of solo trips overseas, to ensure the equipment was progressing as planned and to eliminate risk.
  • Morrisons
    Warehouse Employee
    Morrisons Oct 2021 - Jan 2022

My role whilst working at Morrisons included checking in and time stamping deliveries. Checking in deliveries ensured the paper work from the supplier was correct to the internal orders placed so the orders could be closed. Time stamping included assisting the managers in ensuring the wagons were loaded on time with the correct items for the Morrisons stores. Data from the time stamping had to be uploaded onto the software, Paragon to notify various departments so the wagons could be sent to the next destination.

My position at Kostal UK was Pre-Production Engineer, Higher Degree Apprentice. Whilst working at Kostal I completed two qualifications and a Degree in Manufacturing Technologies at the AMRC Training Centre. During my apprenticeship I supported my colleagues in introducing production equipment. I helped with a number of jobs such as creating and updating documents and completing trial runs. This enabled equipment to be accepted into production to create a final assembled product to customer specification. Due to the closure of Kostal UK, I worked with a small specialist team to ensure production tooling and equipment was properly documented and packaged for overseas transportation all within strict timescales.
