Portfolio manager for the North Central Florida commercial bank, comprised primarily of Gainesville and Ocala. The commercial portfolio is approximately $200MM. Owner-occupied real estate, commercial construction, commercial real estate (spanning multi-family and hospitality projects), and commercial and industrial lending are the chief components. Responsible for loan structure and terms, in concert with the lending teams. Analyze pertinent financial information, both corporate and personal, to ensure the proposed loan / renewal will meet credit standards, as well as the Borrower’s needs. Portfolio management also includes covenant testing, annual review, and special assets (workout) responsibilities as needed.

Gainesville, Florida Area

Directed and managed all aspects of the credit portfolio, including underwriting, credit quality, legal, workout, the appraisal process. Implemented new policy / procedure changes and codified the annual review / covenant compliance process. Directly accountable for loan loss analysis and reserve computation.

(Management Reorganization)

Manage North Florida's commercial credit underwriting and ensured consistent credit quality monitoring. Team consists of two underwriting teams (seven analysts, two credit managers and three loan assistants.) Partner with loan review, periodic special projects. Portfolio consists of $290MM in commitments. • Coached staff during transition from regional bank to national bank to ensure compliance with different reporting structures, compliance regulations and systems. • Designed and implemented processes to better track and report compliance procedures in market;• Negotiated loan structures with internal stakeholders to improve approval timeframe. Provided pro-active account management. • Successfully collaborated with other lines of business by engaging partners in cross-functional areas (leasing, treasury, SBA) • Strengthened overall portfolio credit quality • Managed remote teams;throughout the North Florida footprint (Jacksonville, Daytona, Lake City, Gainesville and Ocala); analyst turnover minimal. • Ensured that analysts had ownership of credits; required that all mandatory compliance training was completed in a timely manner. SENIOR CREDIT RISK OFFICER 2005 - 2011Research, develop, interpret and communicate credit policies, underwriting guidelines and procedures. Loan structuring and approval, overall portfolio monitoring responsibility. • Approved and structured commercial lending requests in the North Central Florida region (Gainesville, Lake City and Ocala) consistent with the bank’s credit policy structure. Confirmed that risk was appropriately graded and mitigated and that problem loans were identified promptly during recessionary period. • Actively engaged in workout activities during Great Recession prior to TD’s purchase of legacy bank through negotiation with clients and counsel.

North Florida / South Georgia

• Senior Underwriter responsible for portfolio risk management, loan analysis, structuring for clients and prospects with revenues of $10MM - $100MM. Worked independently with lending teams located in Savannah and South Georgia areas. • Credit Products Officer, with ownership of credit quality and approval process, loan structure over a territory ranging from Ocala to Pensacola. • Credit Department Manager / Senior Underwriter, managed local credit teams. Responsible for local underwriting standards, bank CRA reporting (received an “Outstanding” rating from Federal auditors). Assisted in design, launch and implementation of Small Business lending department.
