Born and raised in Ottawa, I graduated Algonquin College in 2008 with an advanced Diploma in Business Administration, major in Marketing. From there, I completed my Bachelors of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing in 2009 from Cape Breton University. In 2012 I completed my Wedding Planners Certificate through the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada. Most recently I once again, graduated from Algonquin College in March 2021 with a Certificate in Social Media, with Honours. After graduating both post-secondary institutes, I worked for Christie Walther Communications as a Marketing Specialist for 2 years before entering the not-for-profit world. I worked for Merit Open-Shop Contractors Association in sales, client relations, advocacy, and marketing. I then spent just over a decade working for the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa planning and overseeing all major events, including an international women’s conference in Jerusalem. My time at the diocese also included planning a provincial-wide conference, annual AGMs, curating virtual and hybrid events, and growing their online presence through successful social media campaigns. Most recently, I moved into the role of Event Services Manager at The Shaw Centre in Ottawa where I have worked to enhance my skills in Event Management. In summer of 2021 I launched Dynamic Social Solutions. My company focuses on helping small businesses grow their online presence and connect with their clients and customers through successful social media marketing strategies. My clients do important work within their industries, I tell their story so that they may focus their energy where it is really needed. Volunteering and helping others were instilled in me from a young age. I have volunteered with the Ottawa Police Cadet Corps for over 20 years, where I have received multiple awards for dedication. In 2015, I launched the Women Helping Women Purse Project, where I gathered purses filled with various products, specifically feminine hygiene product, to donate to Ottawa’s most vulnerable population. I also sit on the Board of Directors for Kid-Safe Productions, which offers drama workshops and performances about kids’ mental health in a post-pandemic world. When I am not busy building up social media or planning an event, I can be found with my husband and dogs, in the gym, or out enjoying nature. I love to keep busy both personally and professionally. I thrive in a busy work environment with a team and company that has big goals and a strong vision.
