Principle-based project management using lean thinking and tools.

The Continuous Improvement Associate is responsible for supporting people and processes related to the Munson Healthcare Alignment Framework and Munson Healthcare Operating System. This individual will assist the Continuous Improvement Department and project teams with time studies, data collection, data analysis, documentation and other improvement related work as well as improvement events such as, the Lean Fundamentals Lean Simulation, Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) and supporting components of the Management System. They will follow the practices of the Munson Healthcare Improvement System and Lean/Six Sigma for Healthcare.1. Assists Continuous Improvement Team members as they apply Lean methods and tools such as A3 Thinking, Process Mapping, Spaghetti Diagrams, Cause and Effects Analysis, and Standard Work2. Applies basic level data analysis utilizing QI Macros, Minitab and/or Excel3. Conducts process observation, validation and documentation of existing process4. Performs time studies5. Assists with improvement events and assists or leads brainstorming sessions6. Interacts and communicates with clinical, non-clinical, business and administrative areas and individuals

Primary Coordinator with the PDSS PAS staff. Creating monthly schedules for team. Assigning daily responsibilities. Go to for questions or clarification for various areas in PAS. Part of Leadership team that reviews and implements new or existing policies dealing with PAS. Quality and Productivity tracking for team. Lead monthly meetings for PDSS PAS team covering topics of reeducation or introducing new topics for their job functions. Have one on one meetings with team members to go over errors and do reeducation if needed. Help coordinate special events or team building events for PAS. Work failed bill accounts, in contact with physicians offices and phlebotomist. Work closely with Laboratory leadership to have a fluid work flow that works for them and is efficient for us. Constantly working on process improvement in PDSS and help with other areas as needed.

Specialist (level 5 Registration Representative) for Central Scheduling and Pre-Registration. Responsible for distributing daily work assignments, scheduling with patients and Dr's offices, opening and closing payment batches, posting payments, customer service, go to for questions dealing with area of work, train new hires, help implement new processes, coding diagnosis', working past accounts for payable diagnosis'.

Scheduling Radiology procedures for Munson Medical Center with patients and doctor's offices. Quality checking and registering patients from Munson Medical Center surgery schedules.

Front line registration at MCHC (now known as Foster Family Community Health Center) for walk in X rays, Labs, Physical Therapy, and scheduled MRI's and Ultrasounds.
