As Executive Director of The CSSSA Foundation, I am responsible for generating support for the California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA). I create strategies and programs that sustain CSSSA and create a pipeline to support California's creative economy with emerging talent. Originally created to keep artistically talented youth in the state of California, the CSSSA Foundation provides funding for students to attend the session, accommodates guest artists, and helps to launch alumni into the creative industries.As Executive Director, I assume the leadership responsibilities required to govern an organization. I lead my team in conducting fundraising efforts, which include: conducting multi-faceted giving campaigns using social media, mail, and email; organizing and executing community and alumni events; retaining current donors, attending stakeholder events, making community partnerships, re-engaging lapsed donors and engaging with up-and-coming alumni. Recruiting students to CSSSA is also part of my role, which is done by creating unique digital content and collateral materials and strategically directing the efforts of our Regional Outreach Coordinators. I am also on the forefront of board member relations. It is my goal to grow and maintain a diverse and dynamic board that is passionate about CSSSA and serves for the good of the students. Lastly, I perform administrative duties such as supervise audit and tax preparation, buying insurance, working with accountants on financial matters, conducting HR efforts, optimizing the budget, managing the office.

Create cohesive messaging and branding between CSSSA and the CSSSA Foundation Develop clear communications vision for CSSSA and the Foundation and create a communications plan to execute. Plan includes strategies on positioning both entities, increasing visibility among stakeholders, and targeting specific demographics Drive recruiting efforts in target markets by developing market strategy, connecting to local representatives, and making presentations Generate new social media strategy (on macro and micro levels) to broaden and strengthen the CSSSA/Foundation community Collaborate with designers and vendors to produce logos, branding sheets, collateral materials, digital assets, and website aesthetics/organization Designate how collateral materials can be used to promote CSSSA in the most effective way Foster relationships with county arts leads to promote CSSSA and advocate for arts education for talented students
