About Heidi Lam

I am currently working in the strategy consulting industry, after obtaining my PhD in sociocultural anthropology from Yale University in 2021. My dissertation research explored Japanese cultural industry businesses and their impact on cultural branding throughout Asia and the world. I am applying my training in ethnographic research and social science analysis to strategy consulting, developing strategic insights that impact how multinational companies in the US, Europe, and Japan can better address their clients' existing and new unmet needs. Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, I have executed projects in the healthcare, mobility, technology, media / publishing, and social impact spaces.
