ReD Associates is a strategy consulting firm based in Copenhagen, New York, and Paris, which uses human science methods and analysis to help companies make strategic choices to address their clients' unmet needs.As a consultant and applied anthropologist, I design and implement projects that use social science research methods to develop insights and bespoke recommendations informing companies' value propositions, prototype development, and brand activation campaigns. I have conducted ethnographic immersions, focus groups, semi-structured interviews, and prototype testing. - Assisted professors in teaching ANTH 169 Anthropological Approaches to Sex (2014), an introductory undergraduate course; ANTH 245 Nature and Globalization (2015), a hybrid lecture-seminar style course for upper-level undergraduates; and ANTH 342/542 Cultures and Markets: Asia Connected in Time and Space (2017), a seminar for graduate students and upper-level undergraduates - Led weekly discussion sections with 8-10 students (for ANTH 169) and assisted professor in leading lectures with 25-30 students to clarify course readings and themes (for both courses). - Designed questions and activities to provoke productive discussion- Taught and provided feedback to students on how to develop arguments and support, and strengthen their writing in expository essay, op-ed, and video analysis formats.

Implemented dissertation fieldwork project embedded as a volunteer staff-researcher (affiliation with Waseda University in Tokyo, funded by Japan Foundation and Yale Council on East Asian Studies) primarily in collaboration with two cultural theme park operators linked to Japanese actor training and media production companies (one nationally- and the other internationally-known).Ethnographic research responsibilities included: - Semi-structured interviews and informal conversations with employees, performing staff, as well as Japanese and international customers- Participation in and observation of social dynamics among employees and customers, as well as internal company activities and cultureCollaborative organization activities with Planning and Inbound Marketing departments included: - Overseas customer survey implementation and qualitative analysis- Written report in English and Japanese for the management with short-term/long-term suggestions on facility improvement (including overseas tourist accommodations), based on initial research findings- Multi-lingual translation assistance for park facilities and customer interactions
