Ms. Mason has spent more than 25 years headquartered in Silicon Valley, immersed in its unique ecosystem, focusing on best practices corporate venturing (CV) consulting and start up development. She cofounded the Bell Mason Group in 1990, a specialty CV consultancy dedicated to helping global companies across industry sectors build effective and measurable innovation and venturing programs. She also developed the heuristics-based cv framework and assessment methodology at the heart of BMG client work. Mason has driven BMG's partnering program with complementary CV specialty service providers who focus on innovation, corporate and new venture development, and she has spearheaded industry research and standards development that supports continuing CV practice professionalization and quality repeatability. She has served as strategic advisor and board member to numerous enterprises and organizations over the years.She is co-author of Corporate Venturing: A Survival Guide (Global Corporate Venturing, January 2019) and The Venture Imperative: A New Model for Corporate Innovation (Harvard Business School Press, 2002). Ms. Mason has been a serial entrepreneur, previously co-founder and CEO of Acuity, a Silicon Valley technology marketing and communications consultancy. Prior to joining Acuity she co-led technology marketing consulting firm Regis McKenna's entry into venture technology marketing services. Ms. Mason also co-founded the successful publishing arm of Digital Equipment Corporation, where her collaboration with computer pioneer Gordon Bell began.She holds a B. A., Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Pennsylvania.
