Specifically I've taught courses on international political economy, international organizations, and state politics. I enjoy helping students apply political science and economic theory to gain a greater understanding of the world around them.

Researched and drafted reports, all including original data analysis, on economic mobility in Colorado, women's role in Colorado's economy, alternative work arrangements in Colorado's economy, and the role of higher education in Colorado's economy. Conducted collaborative empirical research as part of the Laboratory on International Law and Regulation at the University of California, San Diego. This work resulted in a (forthcoming) article in Human Rights Quarterly entitled "America's Human Rights Policy: The Corporate Lobby" (with Emilie M. Hafner-Burton) and a working paper entitled "Trading Sovereignty for Credibility? International Organizations and Foreign Direct Investment" (with Emilie M. Hafner-Burton and Christina J. Schneider).

Served as point person for Senator Hass' legislative priorities through two legislative sessions and an interim; worked with legislators, constituents, lobbyists and other stakeholders to pass legislation on a issues ranging from higher education institutional structures, to equine abuse, to expanding options for dual credit for high school students, to health insurance coverage of autism; ran a successful, targeted State Senate campaign; coordinated an effective work group to restructure Oregon's university system; managed office affairs, other staff and interns; maintained the Senator's calendar; and much more.
