Everyday I have the opportunity to intervene in student progress by working one on one with them to help them better learn the content covered in class. I manage classroom behavior by using proximity to help students stay on task. I collaborate with 6 different teachers to help them accomplish classroom tasks. I absolutely love the people I work with and the students I get to help. The best moments in this job consist of students understanding something they were struggling to grasp for a while and a smile creeps across their face and they express "Oooohhhhh, I get it now".

This is an inspiring organization of religious summer camps held at universities across the US. As a counselor, I worked with a different co-counselor every week to coordinate groups of 20-40 youth, ages 14-18. Together, along with the coordinators and directors of the camp, we teach youth about self-worth, honesty, and other life principles. I had opportunities to organize events and director youth choirs of up to 200 youth. Helping youth to love themselves and feel confident in their abilities to make a difference in this world was an amazing experience I was able to have for two summers in a row.
