The largest adoption provider in Michigan, Legacy Adoption Services has placed over 10,000 youth who experienced foster care into safe, loving, adoptive homes since 1977. LAS was established over four decades ago through a collaborative effort between Samaritas and Wellspring Lutheran Services. It emerged from a legacy of faith and service, driven by the commitment to provide adoption services to children who cannot be raised by their birth parents.

Mercy Education Project is passionate about opening doors of opportunity through education to over 250 girls and women in Southwest Detroit every year.MEP provides intensive, one-on-one tutoring, college readiness, STEM summer camp, GED prep, workforce development, transportation and childcare assistance - guiding our ladies toward academic excellence and a fulfilling life post-MEP programs.

Manage, coordinate and evaluate the activities and outcomes of a multi-disciplinary team of professionals dedicated to finding adoptive homes for children in Michigan’s foster care system.

Responsible for the Building Community Partnership (BCP) program promoting community collaboration in Western Wayne County in order to improve outcomes for children and families involved in the child welfare system.

Recruited, trained and studied adoptive families for children in Michigan's foster care system. Conducted child adoption assessments and adoptive family assessments. Matched children awaiting adoption with families who could best meet their needs.

Provided case management services to children and families involved in the foster care system. Facilitated reunification, adoption or another appropriate permanency plan while linking clients to community resources. Conducted assessments, created and facilitated treatment plans and provided regular progress reports to DHS and courts.
