Currently I'm working as an IT business analyst but do a mix of BA, SA, and Developer work with a focus on Energy Components. We just completed an upgrade of one of our instances to EC13 where I orchestrated the setup on Docker and aided in updating our customizations from 10.3 to 13.0.16. On another instance I provide our Royalty support/development and business process management (BPM) implementation.While with Cenovus I’ve worked on a wide breadth of projects. In the recent past I've also had projects rail logistics, adding a component to Service Now and one replacing a terminal management system giving me the opportunity to learn about DCS system integrations and transportation logistics, As I've done for most of my career I continue to work 100% remotely from small town BC.

I'm the QA performance and automation test lead working remotely from small town BC. My work at Cenovus encompasses a huge variety of projects from performance testing Hyperion and other COTS applications, automated testing for in house applications and finding innovative ways to test complex systems. In the last couple of years that has included several projects replicating data to SAP HANA and building views/models to enable meaningful reporting. This has renewed my interest in data modeling and data analytics.Challenges and learning opportunities are what make me like Quality Assurance at Cenovus. I rarely do the same thing twice and am always learning something new. A problem is something to solve! While QA is not always viewed as important it is in fact critical to project success and managing overall costs. These are the things that drive me to excel in my work.

- Designing, writing and testing of product components for function and performance. - developed a usage scenario and demo for XML. - Lead teams regression workloads (~15 people) - Experiment with new networking technologies such as InfiniBand o Networking protocols evaluated include TCP/IP, IPoIB, SDP, uDAPL o Lead internship students in pursuing this work. -lead for Direct I/O API standardization. o company representative in the DAT collaborative. o Liaison for the ICSC o Company’s representative in the DAFS collaborative. -Prototyped our product to determine if and how ground breaking user level technologies such as DAFS should be leveraged. -Evaluated design plans for performance impact on our product -Work with university researchers helping them understand the problems of interest to my product and helping them connect with the ‘right’ people on our team. -Worked on study on remote collaboration for software development -Mentor

-Worked both as an undergraduate and graduate student for Dr. Martin-Looked at how to determine tablespace to buffer pool assignment for OLTP workloads-Investigated User Level I/O (bypassing the OS for storage access) for Database management systems.-Presented work on both topics as posters at CASCON conferences.
