As a social worker, Sr Policy Manager, and data-driven project manager at the Executive Office of Education, I lead, co-lead, and participate in a range of projects to meet the needs of children and families from birth through adulthood. Responding to the current mental health crisis, my work includes several efforts that address behavioral health and the social and emotional well-being for children and adults across the Commonwealth. I serve as the Education Ombudsperson, navigating complex systems of care to meet the needs of kids in crisis. I build consensus with stakeholders across state government to develop solutions that are data-driven and goal oriented.

I was contracted to develop a Needs Assessment and a Strategic Plan, and to provide overall project management support for the Preschool Development Grant Birth-Five, a federal grant focused on building equity-based, data driven improvements to programs and services to young children and their families. The work spanned across two Secretaries and four State agencies - Executive Office of Education, the Departments of Early Education and Care, Elementary and Secondary Education, the Children's Trust, and the Executive Office of Health and Human Services with the Department of Public Health including WIC, Early Intervention and Home Visiting. I led various interagency workgroups to identify opportunities to improve family engagement; develop workforce development trainings; and develop an Early Childhood Integrated Data System.

As part of a small business providing technical solutions to help communities respond to homelessness and maintain compliance with Federal requiements, I was involved is all aspects ranging from marketing and sales to user testing, strategic advice, technical assistance, training, and consulting services. I worked with leaders and top decision makers in public and nonprofit entities to meet business requirements, support workflow processes, and maintain Federal compliance.

Recruited to manage a new unit within a new division of a State agency, focused on developing measurably effective programs that meet State and Federal data collection and reporting requirements, I implemented a complex data system and updated processes & effective cross-functional alignment of the components of the homeless response system in MA and advanced the overall approach to a data-driven response to homelessness.

Framingham, Ma

In my roles at SMOC, I led a range of program initiatives to integrate more than 75 social service programs that improved outcomes for clients, reduced staff burden, and met the needs of stakeholders including a community needs assessment, strategic plan, and systems to track clients across the programs by demographic and quantifiable outcomes. I coordinated, authored, and secured numerous grants from public and private sources to support innovative programming to meet the needs of people living in poverty including a multi-organization with non-profits and social investment firms to secure funding for the first pay-for-success model to address chronic homelessness in Massachusetts.

As a Policy Analyst as a member of an interdisciplinary team advocating for systemic policy changes in several of NJ programs for low-income people including the welfare, child welfare, substance abuse treatment and State’s prisoner re-entry programs, I developed, implemented, and analyzed quantitative research studies, and monitored government data to understand the effectiveness of the NJ TANF law which resulted in positive policy changes to better meet the needs of families.
