As a senior communications specialist at the University of Washington, I support executive leadership, students, instructors, researchers and staff. Work is most meaningful to me when I can connect with colleagues in generative and playful ways. In my work I call on skills that I honed while studying at the Leadership Institute of Seattle/Bastyr University, where I graduated with a Master's in Applied Behavioral Sciences. As part of that course of study I interned at Seattle Mental Health, working with youth, couples, and multi-generational families. I am a certified group facilitator in the Amherst Writers & Artists method. I study and practice mindfulness meditation, leading a group of colleagues in short, daily guided meditations to start our workday mindfully. I am currently training in Appreciative Inquiry and am excited to see how this other kind of AI will help me maximize my skill set to serve and ignite human potential throughout my network.
