Conceived in Cyprus, born in Germany back in 1983 and subsequently followed my father around the world. Having my 5th birthday in Acapulco, visiting my Dad on a break from an exercise in Belize was a particular highlight.My childhood was littered with house moves and lots of MFO boxes. Changing schools was common place but that enabled me to engage and make friends quickly. Spending time on the ranges and in and around military bases was pretty cool. My Dad being in a tank regiment meant I was surrounded by a lot of heavy equipment, Challenger and Scimitar Tanks used to make our house shake!! The added bonus was their was lots of spare kit, this allowed me and my mates to play "Army", cam-creamed up and hiding from my mates kind of set the tone for the rest of my life.Inevitably landed in uniform myself. After basic training in Catterick, I was quickly deployed and fought in different theatres in the Middle East. I was part of the Reconnaissance & Sniper Platoon in 1st Battalion The Light Infantry. Enjoyed my several years and the experiences I encountered made me into the person I am today, however I knew when my race was ran and left to start life on Civvy Street. I became a Husband and quickly had my daughter, the standout proudest moment of my life. Some fantastic memories we're made and then my life changed forever. I got divorced and then after a lengthy and expensive legal battle, found myself unable to see my daughter for no apparent reason, just one persons agenda. Quite a tough statement to make but again, this further shaped me in to who I am. Believe it or not, cooking helped me through this process. I can often be found in the kitchen, music on and experimenting with various ingredients. Some epic failures quickly went in the bin but some successes along the way too. Making people happy through food is like nothing else. I am definitely a social animal, again, going back to my childhood, making new friends all the time means I can now engage with anyone. I have no issues walking alone into pubs and cafes and striking up a conversation. In equal measures I can be found roaming the hills, exploring, finding hidden routes and meeting people along the way. I love being outdoors, it brings a different dynamic and allows me to clear my head.I like a good laugh and have a dark sense of humour, life is too short to be serious all the time.
