About Heike Brugger

How can 'new' trends (such as the digitalisation and the sharing economy) become enablers of the energy transition?How can social and technical innovation in energy enable us to reach our climate goals?Which role do policy networks play in enabling social and technical innovation?Those are some of the central questions about which I am passionate and around which my research is centered. As an interdisciplinary scholar with a background in Politics (Phd), Mathematics and Physics, I am leading the business unit Energy Policy at the Competence Center Energy Policy and Energy Markets at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI.As a network researcher, I am genuinely convinced that cooperation and strong as well as 'weak' links will enable us to be innovative and tackle the important challenges of our time.So, get in touch!
