Privat profile - for business content www.vditz.de/impressumI deal with future technologies: Sustainability, Bioeconomy, Resource Efficiency, Biomimetics and Biodiversity. For the VDI Technologiezentrum GmbH (VDI TZ), I manage various projects for ministries and other clients as well as internal projects at the VDI TZ. In the German federal states, I accompanied the strategies on bioeconomy and resource efficiency for the Ministry of the Environment in Baden-Württemberg. Since 2021, we run the office for the German Bioeconomy Council with a team. My various internal projects in the VDI group deal with issues of nature conservation, biodiversity (with a focus on wild bees), resource preservation and contributions to the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. I combine a scientific background in biology (diploma and doctorate) with research work at the University of Bonn and extensive experience in policy advice in the Bioeconomy Council of the German Federal Government and previously in the German Advisory Council on the Environment (SRU). I am passionate about technologies that combine natural sciences with engineering to promote sustainable ecological goals. Examples are biomimetics, bioeconomy, innovative technologies to combat climate change, global warming, biodiversity loss and pollution reduction.Networking is a basic prerequisite to develop new creative ideas for future solutions and to solve current problems and concerns. I see it as my main task to facilitate interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation between stakeholders, organisations from different industries and scientific fields to create something new. Innovative technologies can help to maintain or improve the standard of living while reducing the consumption of natural resources and the negative impact on the environment.
