Jeffrey Heisinger is a highly successful commercial banking leader who brings over 25 years of experience in building and leading teams, developing business, structuring credit facilities, managing relationships and facilitating projects. At Cathay Bank, he is a Senior Vice President and leads a team of commercial bankers in expanding the 60 year old bank's presence in the greater Los Angeles area. His team covers the South Bay, West Los Angeles, and San Fernando Valley regions. Prior to joining Cathay Bank, he was a Regional Manager and started a new office for Opus Bank in Woodland Hills. His highly successful team of relationship managers was the top producing team in the bank in 2020. He also successfully led the banks effort to change its derivative vendor, coordinating the efforts of all units to implement the change. Jeffrey previously managed the well established San Fernando Valley commercial banking office for City National Bank. Taking over the reigns of the office August 2016, he implemented a disciplined calling effort that led to growth in credit facilities by 48% in just under two years.During his career, Jeffrey held various management, business development and relationship management roles at US Bank and Wells Fargo. He spent a significant portion of his early banking career in the commercial finance world, often working with private equity and investment banks in financing M&A transactions. He has significant experience underwriting syndicated facilities, leveraged transactions, and asset based structures. He began his banking career in 1996 in the commercial credit training program of Norwest Bank, which subsequently purchased Wells Fargo.Jeffrey holds an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management and earned undergraduate degrees in finance from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and in professional aeronautics (aviation management) from Embry Riddle. Prior to his banking career, he spent time with First Data Corporation and served in the US Air Force as an air traffic controller. Jeffrey resides in Southern California with his family. While not a great golfer, he enjoys playing. He also spends time helping with youth sports teams, is an avid football fan, and enjoys traveling.
