NRC is a print and online newspaper in the Netherlands. In 2018 I started as a trainee at the picture desk, learning the tricks of the trade, as well as devising and producing new forms of online visual storytelling. After the traineeship my role was converted into a permanent position.Tasks include:• Conducting research and acquiring relevant imagery fromphotographers and press agencies. This entails assessing incoming visuals from news wires and carefully selecting imagery that aligns with publication standards.• Assigning and briefing photographers both domestically and internationally• Coordinating closely with writers, editors, and designers to ensure seamless integration of visual content.• Working in tandem with developers to create special features that enhance the overall user experience.• Preparing captions and credits for publication on all platforms: print, online, social media.• Writing the bi-weekly newletter highlighting photostories.• Contributing to and organizing databases.• Employing forensic photo research techniques, as part of the visual investigations team.

Photography is the perfect medium for me to connect with my environment and explore perspectives beyond my own. Since 2010 I have been working as an independent image maker on long-term documentary projects. Through my work, I strive to tell nuanced stories and uncover hidden angles that often go unnoticed.I believe that photography has the power to bridge gaps, challenge perceptions, and spark conversations. It serves as a visual language, communicating emotions and shedding light on social issues.My projects have been exhibited in group and solo shows at numerous institutions such as Museum Aan de Stroom (Antwerp, BE), Museum M (Leuven, BE), Felix Meritis (Amsterdam, NL), Business Design Center (London, UK), OXO Tower (London, UK) and Borges Centro Cultural (Buenos Aires, AR). My tasks as the editor was to promote open-call submissions and to guide the chosen contributors in the production and publishing of their artwork.

What the World Has Never Seen (WTWHNS) is an international photo project that was founded by Michel Sluzic Kryzanowski. WTWHNS visited 8 countries on 5 continents to find people who could show something unseen. The revelations of persons found were documented and published in a special edition photo book. My responsibilities as the producer in Israel was to find collaborative partners, candidates for the book and build awareness of the project by informing the press and arranging artists talks at local cultural institutions.

Internship role assisting the Commissioning Editor in the development, production and distribution of HotShoe Magazine – a leading international contemporary photographic magazine – both in print and online.General responsibilities involved; the searching and discovering new photographic talent for publication, researching, writing and posting articles and news for online and social media platforms, organising, editing and tagging content for online and tablet editions, editing and designing additional tablet content and printed materials, proofreading and sub-editing articles, the logging and archiving of printed materials for the HotShoe library, handling subscription payments as well as the sorting and distribution of magazine issues to subscribers and external parties.
