This was an extension of my previous role as Project Manager to incorporate portfolio management responsibilities for large and multinational Property & Liability business.Responsibilities included:• Developing and presenting the GSL customer experience proposal focusing on delivering world class global service, followed up by the go-to-market strategy• Analysing causes of loss in the multinational property portfolio, successes and failures of risk control and working with Group underwriting to develop and implement improved risk control processes• Building the multinational Captives proposition, involving reviewing existing appetite, consolidating and enhancing guidance, defining minimum standards and communicating this work alongside a clear process for referral• Reviewing the global Cyber proposition, leading a project to expand this offering and drive greater consistency within diverse regional businesses• Regional liaison with Scandinavia, building excellent relationships and working with various local teams to roll-out initiatives, understand the local market and identify additional opportunities to grow top and bottom line• Managing interns, including day-to-day support and end of placement performance management• Supporting the operational planning process, using my relationship with and knowledge of the Scandinavian business to refine the outputI also sat on the steering committees for Diversity & Inclusion and Gender Balance.

This was a global role leading projects to increase the scale and profitability of Property and Liability business. This involved identifying opportunities or threats common to multiple regions, addressing these, and replicating regional successes within the wider business in a matrix management environment. I both led projects and supported others within the team.Lead projects included:• Creating and coordinating cross-class Centres of Excellence for Food & Beverage, Rail & Chemical/Pharmaceutical, in which I brought together communities of global experts in this sector, wrote underwriting guidance, delivered training WebExes, produced marketing materials and worked with broking firms to complete market intelligence and launch the initiative• Leading the enhancement and further roll-out of a quote logging and pipelining system developed in a previous role, and providing technical support• Revamping the content and structure of the global business website to make it appropriate for the user base, including management of an external agency• Designing a technical work experience programme for risk managers alongside industry body AIRMIC, raising the company’s profile with AIRMIC and potential customers
