Helen Carr has worked in publishing for twenty-five years and is currently Senior Editor with The O'Brien Press. She has worked with many well-known children's and Young Adult (YA) authors and illustrators, like Judi Curtin, Helen Corcoran, Sarah Webb, Gerard Siggins, Sarah Bowie, Jennifer Farley, Anna Carey, Alan Nolan, Tarsila Kruse, Juliette Saumande, Ruth Long, Chris Judge, Sarah Bowie, Nicola Colton, as well as on many general titles for adults, from cookery to current affairs to sport. Helen has reviewed books for 'Inis' magazine, 'The Sunday Independent' and 'BestBooks'. She was the editor of 'Wild Words', vols 1-7, produced by Leitrim County Council Arts Office (www.wildwords.ie). She has spoken on many panels and at publishing events, and taught classes on creative writing and pitching to publishers at The Irish Writers' Centre, Dublin.She also writes about running and fitness for 'The Irish Runner' magazine (now part of The Sunday Business Post family) and posts about running, reading and writing on Instagram.
