Helen Davidson holds a Bachelor of Media Studies, a Post Graduate Degree in Law. She managed the Family Law / Family Violence team at Fitzroy Legal Service following her role as a Family and Child Protection Lawyer with Victoria Legal Aid.She is currently the Senior Associate in Family Law at Nicholas James Lawyers.Ms Davidson is currently the Deputy Mayor at Merri-Bek Council (formally Moreland Council) and was first elected to local government in 2012. She was Mayor if the City of Moreland from 2016 to 2017. Ms Davidson is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. She was Chair of the Moreland Urban Planning Committee from 2014 to 2016. She currently holds the portfolios of the Status of Women in Merri-Bek and Sport and Recreation in Merri-Bek.Ms Davidson is passionate about working closely with the community and particularly those who may be more vulnerable within the community. She brings a wealth of professional knowledge and experience to her respective roles as Councillor and Lawyer.
