Involvement was from requesting records through to billing of work in progress including filing accounts electronically with Companies House. When required I would discuss draft accounts with clients prior to finalization.I prepared and reviewed accounts including corporation and income tax computations. I also reviewed VAT returns prior to submission to HMRC. I dealt with HMRC tax enquiry letters either directly or via an external consultant.I was responsible for the completion and filing of my portfolio’s forms P11d, engagement and dis-engagement letters as well answering professional clearance letters.I provided training and support to all team members.

Responsibilities included review of work undertaken by junior members of staff, correspondence and billing.I was responsible for the audit of limited company accounts, turnover figures up to approximately £15m. Preparation of year end accounts for companies up to turnover of £5m.Work was undertaken in charge of a team of up to 5 staff. Involvement was from the planning stage through to the preparation of statutory accounts, tax computations and audit highlight memoranda.Assisted in the supervision and training of all junior staff members.

Using sage, I was solely responsible for maintaining the records of four franchisee’s businesses preparing VAT returns and accounts on a quarterly basis.
