Department Assistant Teddy Bears And Dolls
Primary Focus Is Caring For My Young Family
Financial Governance Specialist - Fp&A
As the Governance Specialist I was the primary point of contact for the business, for commercial governance, and responsible for the clear and consistent communication of governance processes, tools and templates, including the development of standard tools and templates, and the simplification of the process.I have worked with both the Finance department and wider business to simplify and improve the governance processes, while also managing alignment with other governance streams. My role was key within the team, the main accountability being the management of the governance process to ensure effective Governance of UK commercial plans/decisions by maintaining the governance millstones (Key Gates) and planning the future project submissions, managing the different governance forums, and where applicable propose recommendations for each project based on the project details/history and how it fits with the UK businesses strategy.I managed the internal/external SOX, BCP and QMS audit for the commercial governance working with both internal and external auditors to make sure the we are complaint. I continued to drive efficiency in the governance process and systems, whilst making sure any new initiative would benefit all users.I was also responsible for the management of PPM tool for commercial governance stream in the UK, which comprised of day-to-day system management, set up of initiatives, SOX controls, and producing ad hoc reporting requests from business areas (Consumer/ Enterprise)
Treasury Systems Analyst
The role of Treasury Systems Analyst is the initial point of contact for the Treasury systems within Vodafone and with suppliers, in this role I was responsible for supporting and enhancing a variety of in-house and vendor supplied applications, used by the Group Treasury department and Treasury Finance team.Responsible for the capture and analysis business requirements, I worked with the department to develop systems/controls that supported the businesses functional requirements.Conducting feasibility reviews, project planning, testing and implantation of systems both alone and with the Treasury Systems manager, results of which had a direct impact on the organization as a whole. I managed the smooth running of all Treasury systems and interfaces ensuring that the system infrastructure is maintained and is fit for purpose. I therefore had to be proficient in the business processes that drive the applications. In this role I coordinated the promotion of changes to production environments e.g. the upgrade of systems, managing any incidents and changes.I administered the IT continuity of the Treasury applications in particular the design planning and coordination of the Business Continuity Plan, which included managing the physical locations, access to all PC’s, servers, comms room while working with IT to gain continuous improvement of this environment. Produced a quarterly review process, maintaining the status of change requests/developments, and the communication of activities to the department and senior managers.I managed and the internal, external and SOX audit for the Treasury systems to make sure the systems comply.I strived to drive efficiency of the Treasury systems, while introducing systems and procedures which “add value” and efficiency to the department within parameters of compliance, and a controlled environment. Hr Administrator
As HR Administrator, I looked after the new starter / leaver process, drawing up contracts, entering details on to the personal system, providing references, organizing the new starter induction, and exit interviews. I had to work closely with other business service departments to keep them informed of any changes.
Asian Art Department
In this role I introduced new administration systems which greatly improved the efficiency of the department; this was very important due to the tight deadlines we had to work to. I created and built good client relationships, by listening to the client’s needs and responding clearly and effectively too any queries. My main duty as P.A was to be the first point of contact. I also made all travel arrangements, organize expenses, took minutes at departmental meetings. I worked very closely with the department head and I had to be constantly aware of what was happening in both within the department and across the wider organisation. This allowed me to resolve any problems that might affect the smooth running of the department quickly and proficiently My role as administrator required me to work as part of a team, with five specialists, as well as working independently. I acted as the main point of contact for the department, booking appointments for clients ensuring that the relevant specialist was available and answering sales queries/ condition report requests, as well as being responsible for the general office duties. As administrator I would help distribute any new working practices, and ensure the team was fully coherent, with the client and cataloguing applications. As part of my development, I was responsible for supervising interns, creating opportunities for them gain knowledge of the artefacts and gain an understanding of the auction processes. Regularly taking part in the telephone bidding, enabled me to build greater relationships with bidders.
