My role as Retirement Living Area currently involves overseeing the operational management of our Sheltered and Extra Care Schemes in Bedford, Luton and Cambridge. I manage a team of Team Leaders, Senior Scheme Support Coordinators, Caretakers and Cleaners. I am required to manage our Supporting People contract and how we perform against this, ensure that our rent arrears and void turnaround figures remain low and that we take steps to address any issues, that our support plans and risk assessments are up to date, relevant and of a high standard, and that we are providing the support to residents that they need. It is also my role to support my team and ensure that their time is used well to provide an effective and proactive service to bpha Retirement Living residents

As well as managing voids, rental income, Supporting People contracts and support plans and risk assessments, I was also responsible for sourcing external funding for projects and running a Social Enterprise Cafe, as well as looking at training opportunities and overseeing a budget of £500,000.
