1. Provide intellectual property advice to a large set of clients in the Great China Region engaged in research, product incubation, outsourcing and/or development activities as well as university relations in the Asia Pacific region.2. Assist in conducting intellectual property in view of facilitating technology transfer to the various product groups at Microsoft and third party technology acquisition/licensing for Microsoft product development.3. Draft and negotiate various legal documents, including inbound and outbound license agreements, joint research agreements, independent contractor agreements, consulting agreements, software development agreements, sponsorship agreement, donation agreement, university funding agreement, etc.4. Open source software license review, such as GPL, LGPL, etc.5. Formulate and deploy process-related improvements related to the provision of legal support services.6. Help to ensure compliance with Microsoft policies. 7. Coordinate extensively with colleagues in HQ for issues specific to patents, copyrights, trademarks, and other applicable practice groups.
