Since leaving school I trained to be a secretary and had done just that for many years. During that time, I worked as a Jetpacks' operator for a couple of days at a Nestle event at the NEC and this was my first taste of Jetpacks. I loved the fun side of operating the Jetpack and also saw for myself the amount of interest it generated. When the then Jetpacks manager emigrated to Australia in 2010, I was keen to take over and tried to keep the business running whilst also working at a local hospital. Jetpacks became increasingly busy and I decided that now was the chance to focus solely on Jetpacks – a decision I have never regretted. My secretarial background was a huge help regarding planning and organising the day-to-day tasks involved in running a business.Whilst originally offering franchises to different countries, and even helping to set up new companies wishing to copy Jetpacks’ success, quality control proved to be an issue, so Jetpacks remains as a family-owned, family-run business. Part of my role is to continue expanding operations worldwide from Jetpacks' base in Greater Manchester.
