I am excited to move into this new position to be part of the expansion of MRN's Site Network and its associated services through 2025 and beyond

Having worked for almost 10 years on primarily home trial support, Site and Patient Services is a fantastic new team combining a huge amount of experience to work more closely with sites & expand the support MRN can offer.

Specialising in startup of projects from pre-contract through first visit readiness, with overall responsibility for delivery to timelines, billing & forecasting, client liaison & internal team management. This role also included supporting the Project Director with oversight of portfolio level delivery.

Portfolio level oversight of vendor contract implementation & oversight of a team of 20 delivering vendor contracts, purchase invoice reconciliaiton, vendor network capability and expansion, including how that is translated into client budgets & proposals. Experience in process development oversight, controlled document management & metrics-based reporting to senior management. Direct line management of a team of 7 administrators in the US & UK.

Responsibility for end-to-end project delivery where external vendors are contracted to deliver services. Management & authorisation of vendor set-up with oversight of project margins and delivery timelines. Point of liaison and escalation for internal teams interacting with vendor contracting teams.

Promotion to reflect experience and increasing responsibility. Role now includes acting as point of escalation for operational queries within VCMT as well as for other internal teams, undertaking risk-based reviews of RFPs, protocols, budgets and proposals, attending client meetings including bid defences, development of processes, controlled documents and training, taking the lead in interactions with vendors including international travel to face to face meetings and focusing on the delivery of projects in setup, including scope definition, document development and timeline management

Working with the Vendor & Contract Management Team to find & assess new vendors, collate and negotiate vendor costs, set up contracts and providing on-going supplier governance for The MRN, who specialise in providing home-based clinical trial nursing support as well as other clinical trials support services; this role recently has expanded to include increasing involvement in central pharmacy service provision in the UK, US and Europe.

Working with the Disability and Dyslexia Service at QMUL to provide one-to-one academic help and assistance with issues such as time management for an undergraduate student, who went on to graduate with First Class Honours in 2013. Developed my ability to listen, communicate and give feedback in a positive way, motivate others and build mutual trust based on perceiving and acting on another's needs.

Supervising large groups of undergraduate students working under potentially dangerous laboratory conditions. Improved my own knowledge of unfamiliar laboratory techniques and my ability to explain complex principles and methods to a less specialized audience, as well as gaining experience of higher education teaching practices and principles.
