Development and implementation of Diabetes WA's Health Services strategic plan. I was responsible for the line management for all aspects of the division (staffing, budgeting, planning, organising, directing and reporting). During my time an extensive change management process was undertaken to reshape the health service in order to secure existing funding and develop more diverse relationships. In the 5 year period Health Services Division grew from 3 fte. to 20 fte with the creation also of the new Research and Evaluation team to ensure quality outcomes and value for money both locally and nationally. Core to the success of the change management within the division was the collaborative approach to the development of plans, using a strength based methods to create outcomes. Central to this was ensuring the core values for the team and the philosophy of care aligned.

Responsible for strategic business development of DESMOND Australia. This includes business development across Australia, New Zealand and extending reach into the Pacific Islands and Asia. Maintaining international links and research and business partnerships with DESMOND UK and Leicester Diabetes Centre.
