It is split between prepaid, trailing, postpaid acquisition and postpaid retention and is paid to 5 channels. Over the years each channel formed a unique commission strategy with little review. It had become so complex, there was no documentation, and the company was unable to report on why channels were being paid their commissions.Helen’s primary goal was to use her analytical and business process improvement skills to streamline commissions. This was an extremely complex project with a wide touch-point of stakeholders. Using 6-Sigma and Lean methodologies Helen:• Identified annualised savings of $9.2m • Implemented paperless approval process for manual payments and centralised repository in Salesforce• Simplified trailing calculation to be based on total contract value, which aligned with Vodafone strategy to not reward customer bill shock• Improved the process of setting commission rates, including following up of variations to standard and formal post implementation reviews• Cleaned up commissions accounting (accruals) and reporting -

Helen was a founding team member working under the efficient and effective operations stream. The team used Lean methodologies to bring about significant process improvement in closing month end, off-shoring parts of finance to a shared service centre in India and alignment of finance objectives with other teams. -
Process Excellence AnalystVodafone Jan 2009 - Aug 2011London, GbHelen was seconded to the finance department after proving herself as pivotal in the implementation of the Hutchison Retail Management System (RMS) project. The primary objective was to decrease the inventory loss figures that were being reported in Oracle’s General Ledger (GL) accounts. To achieve this Helen designed and created business intelligence reports using retail data. She created and documented processes to enable the reconciliation of general ledger accounts. She instigated regular committee meetings where varying objectives were set and monitored, and strategies were devised to achieve the objectives. In June 2009 Vodafone Australia and Hutchison Telecom Australia completed a 50/50 merge to form a new entity Vodafone Hutchison Australia (VHA). The technological hurdles in this merger were vast and it was necessary to complete large amounts of work in a short time frame. -
