About Helen Sorme
I am an ambitious, motivated fourth-year student at the University of Georgia pursuing Bachelor of Arts degrees in journalism and sociology, and a certificate in news literacy. I'm interested in interdisciplinary journalism and how to tie them to sociological concepts throughout social organizations. I have experience reporting on sustainability, food and travel journalism, as well as non-profit and corporate communications. I am a hard worker, have strong interpersonal skills and am willing and excited to learn and apply myself to future projects.After I graduate with both bachelor's degrees in May 2025, I will continue my education through the Double Dawgs program to obtain my M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communication, graduating in May 2026.
