Graphic Design and Editing:With a degree in graphic design and communication, Helen has worked for the YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas, as well as independently for ZCK Designs where she helped created brand identity and other print publications. In 2020 Helen formed Brighter Magazine, LLC. Brighter magazine's mission is to be a fashion and educational publication that serves the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all women affected by cancer. In 2021 Brighter filed for 501c3 status to help provide it's encouraging, equipping, empowering and educating content at no cost to survivors through the generosity of it's donors.Personal TrainingHelen started competitive gymnastics and swimming, as well as ballet, at a young age. A healthy lifestyle was instilled in her by her father who met his wife on the Texas Tech swim team and swam competitively until the age of 72. Throughout her life, Helen has continued to challenge herself with new and innovative ways to stay healthy and active. Before children, she coached swimming and danced with Contemporary Ballet Dallas. Today she is an avid runner and biker. Having discovered a love for triathlon, Helen has competed in many sprint, olympic and Ironman 70.3 distance races. She currently enjoys personal training and triathlon coaching with her in person and virtual clients.
