    In this role, I have worked on a project about the 8th Duke of Devonshire. I was tasked with reading through all the Duke’s personal correspondence and inputting the data into the EMU catalogue system. It is a long process and requires great attention to detail and patience, especially with handwriting. In addition to this, I worked with the collections photographic archive, tidying up and adding information on the database and writing blog posts about the collection, for example the work of William Henry Fox Talbot. Before lockdown, I began a project on a new, upcoming exhibition, where I was researching paintings, and learning about the process of loans, quality checks and liaising with external contacts.

In turn, I helped to photograph the objects and adjust them using Photoshop so that they could be added to the national database
