I am passionate about connecting, engaging and supporting people. This is why my work in the communication field has a focus on not-for-profit, health, disability and disadvantage sectors. I know with the right support a significant difference can be made in people’s lives. I also have lived experience with direct family members with supports in place addressing specific needs.Currently, I'm working for the Centre for Strategic Communication Excellence with a mission to build professional communication excellence in individuals, organisations and the global community. The organisation's values are a perfect match - confident that comms has the power to be the force of good in society, passionate about sharing knowledge and opinionated: https://www.thecsce.com/about-usA BIT MORE ABOUT MY EXPERIENCEAn experienced professional communications manager spanning 20+ years across various communication disciplines and industries. Latterly, I've worked with agencies advising various not-for-profit organisations such as FRRR, Philanthropy Australia and Melbourne City Mission. This has provided the opportunity to work across cultures, appreciate complex organisational structures, community and philanthropic challenges.I love connecting with people and have a proven ability to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders and working with a diverse range of customers (both internal & external). Having done an International Business Studies degree and post grad in Marcomms - thinking strategically is second nature. I can quickly grasp issues and identify communication gaps to achieve goals efficiently and effectively. A SNEAK PEAK INTO MY PERSONAL LIFEI'm a Brit who married an Aussie. We have two children both with learning difficulties one of whom suffers anxiety and has sensory processing challenges (SPD). I'm sharing this as I'm passionate about helping people and sharing my knowledge about ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, SPD and other nuances of the autism spectrum. As I say to my children "we are human not robots - life would be boring if we were'.And finally...tennis is my hobby. I get on court at least once a week.

Senior Communication ConsultantCentre For Strategic Communication Excellence Oct 2021 - PresentAustraliaI'm part of an awesome team with tentacles all over the world - seeking to build professional communication excellence in individuals, organisations and the global community. What I do varies from day to day but one of the mainstays is researching the latest on leadership and the challenges that organisations are currently facing and in in the future will experience.
