I completed 7 years experience as a Staff Nurse and Senior Staff Nurse on a Surgical ward in Guernsey that covered ENT, breast, colorectal, urology, vascular and gynaecological surgery. The ward also cared for oncology patients requiring symptom management and end of life care.I coordinated nursing teams and patient care on the 18-22 bedded ward, liaising with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate efficient evidence-based and person centred care. I moved to the community nursing team to seek new opportunities and further development in April 2021. I commenced my District Nurse Specialist training in September 2021, and enjoyed working as a DN post qualifying. 2023 took us to Perth, Western Australia where I joined the Silverchain group as a community palliative nurse. I am very fortunate to have travelled and lived internationally during my school years which allowed me to appreciate other people’s cultures and traditions. I love meeting new people and I try to be a positive and influential role model in both my work and private life.
