Whilst working for OUP tasking involved monitoring and overseeing the actions of the maritime component and ensuring that they adhered to their Joint Commander's plan. MC Naples is currently relocating from Naples to the UK and my role involved devising and implementing the data transition plan to move files from one location to the other, the weeding and deletion of out of date data and ensuring the staff adhered to the robust archive policy. My primary function was training and supporting Royal Navy Career Managers on their use of Joint Personnel Administration and auxiliary systems to ensure that staff officers could effectively operate the packages to effectively man the RN. The creation of bespoke databases and reports were also required as was the creation of individual adhoc queries in response to individual requirements.

The primary role for this position was to review and approve all requests for IT and telephony equipment by all UK operational units based in MND(SE), Iraq, Bahrain, Dubai and Oman. On receipt of the equipment arrange installation followed by appropriate QC.

Teaching RN Reservists in the use of the RN AIS system

Analysis of usage and creation of best practice for RN CSS. This position entailed visiting ships afloat to find out how Ship's Companies were using RN CSS both in training and operationally, including during the Iraqi Conflict in 2003 and then devising and promulgating best practice to the Fleet. This was followed by a period of ensuring the policy was being adhered to by units.
