The work involves researching to get an understanding of what is needed, and coming up with design ideas. Commercial awareness and analysis is crucial in this role as it is important to make the most of the space available, work within a budget and meet deadlines and achieve weekly, monthly and yearly targets.Excellent communication skills are key in this role as i am constantly needed to discuss briefs and commerciality with other members of the team and identifying the key messages i wish to convey, and also have an in-depth understanding of the Brand, products, image and target market.Considering factors such as the space available for the display, any special features it should incorporate and the budget.Coming up with design ideas incorporating the Brand identity and revising designs and layouts according to feedback from other team members and managers.Overseeing the process of the chosen layouts and creative, checking the quality and making sure the project is completed to schedule.researching lifestyle and design trends and making sure designs will appeal to the target audienceSketching designs and developing floor plans, making the most of the space availableTaking direction from head office on corporate schemes when appropriateVisiting branches to train and brief staff on arranging displays.Be aware of current trends and activities in design, fashion and culturehave good communication skills to present ideas to others, be able to use large and small spaces effectivelyBe self-motivated and practical and last but not least effectively run a team to achieve all above goals.
