Twelve-year-old Muhammad Burqan lives in Area H2, a section of the city of Hebron that is under the full control of the Israeli military. Soldiers detain children on suspicion of stone-throwing nearly every day. Muhammad, who has nine brothers and sisters, is one of those children. His life revolves around his crowded home and the street, where he constantly finds himself getting into trouble.

The Jerusalem Boxing Club operates out of a bomb shelter in a southern neighborhood of Jerusalem, with hundreds of teens coming to the club over the years. They come from diverse, and often troubled backgrounds. The movie follows four of the young boxers and club manager Gershon Luxemburg as he pushes them to push themselves, and teaches the importance of always treating opponents with respect. Slowly, personal stories unfold, revealing the complexities of life that Gershon and his protégés have to confront. "Nobody comes to box without a reason", claims boxing club founder Gershon Luxemburg.
