I am responsible for creating SRUK News, the regular membership magazine. This involves planning the content in line with the wider communications strategy, researching and drafting articles and ensuring adherence to the strict review process. I am additionally involved in researching and producing patient information booklets and factsheets, and share responsibility for keeping the website up to date. This includes adding and updating content and creating social media assets around this for use across our various platforms.My role involves looking after the database of case studies, sourcing personal stories, and carrying out interviews, as well as liaising with the wider media when appropriate.

I was responsible for researching and producing editorial content on the situation facing asylum seekers in Europe. I also took on an editing role to assist with reports and other publications.

As a freelance writer, I researched and produced original copy for print and online publications. I also undertook editing work that included research reports and peer-reviewed papers on the topics of international development, health economics and the provision of healthcare to families within conflict settings.

In this communications role, I produced the regular magazine of the Haemophilia Society and additionally created a new magazine for women. I was also responsible for managing the case study database and for carrying out interviews. I was involved in the design and development of the Society's websites, and my role also included creating and updating online content and publishing new pages.
