The project aims at the development, demonstration, and industrialization of technologies supporting a new generation of retail. It involves process dematerialization solutions applied to the sector, enabling a seamless and ultra-convenient experience for its users.

The collaborative research project between the University of Minho and Continental Advanced Antenna aimed at pioneering the development of an innovative Smart Manufacturing Systems (SMS). This cutting-edge system, automatic, integrated, responsive, and adaptable to multiple resources and entities, focused on revolutionizing the planning, control, and scheduling of production and internal logistics, with particular emphasis on the following functional areas:Article Information Management:The research project laid the foundation for an advanced Article Information Management system, enabling seamless data integration, real-time tracking, and comprehensive documentation of product information throughout the manufacturing process. This system facilitated efficient data exchange and improved traceability, ensuring precise control over product configurations and variants.Digital Modeling of the Organization: To enhance manufacturing agility and adaptability, the project introduced a Digital Twin of the organization .Medium-term Production Planning and Control:The newly developed Smart Manufacturing Systems Management System incorporated state-of-the-art algorithms to optimize medium-term production planning and control. This included resource allocation, capacity planning, and workload distribution, leading to improved production efficiency and reduced lead times.Production Scheduling and Monitoring:With a focus on real-time responsiveness, the system integrated advanced production scheduling and monitoring capabilities.

Sub-Project: Use Cases of Haptic Feedback in the 3rd Living Space. As part of a collaborative research effort between Bosch Car Multimedia and the University of Minho, I actively contributed to a groundbreaking project aimed at studying haptic applications in the context of fully autonomous and non-autonomous vehicles to revolutionize the user experience and promote accessibility for individuals with visual impairments. The primary objective of this research initiative was to explore the potential of haptic technology in autonomous vehicles to augment traditional sensory feedback and improve the overall user experience. Haptic feedback, a tactile communication method, holds promise in enhancing the interaction between users and vehicles by providing real-time physical sensations, enabling intuitive communication, and ensuring a safer and more reliable driving experience.Key Contributions:In my role as a project team member, I actively engaged in multiple facets of the research, making significant contributions to the successful development and implementation of haptic applications in autonomous vehicles. Some of my key responsibilities and accomplishments include:Project Management, Universal Design Approach, User-Centric Design, Innovative Haptic Prototypes: Data Analysis and Performance Evaluation

Help businesses identify areas of waste, repurpose them towards efficient production, point to value reduction processes or resources, and advise on eliminating them.- Analysis and diagnosis of production regarding: quality of material flows, waste, planning and control;- Assessment of current performance in terms of productivity, lead timesand value added ratio;- Definition of performance improvement goals in one year and in the long term;- Creation of a structure of Continuous Improvement animators;- Implementation of actions to improve the company's overall flows and performance

As the Scrum Master and Agile Coach at Bosch Car Multimedia, I played a pivotal role in driving innovation and efficiency in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and autonomous vehicle technologies. Over almost a year, I led and mentored four software development teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture that embraced Agile principles.Key Responsibilities and Contributions:Agile Transformation: Spearheading the Agile transformation within the organization, I successfully transitioned the teams from traditional development methodologies to Agile practices. I championed the adoption of Scrum framework and Agile methodologies, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adaptability.Facilitating Scrum Events: As the Scrum Master, I facilitated various Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.Empowering Teams, Removing Impediments and promoted a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging experimentation and adopting agile engineering practices.
