Hi there. I am a Compassion Focused Therapist, specialising in transcending anxiety and anxiety related depression and health issues.Having trained originally as an artist and illustrator, I have a particular interest in the link between Anxiety and Creativity. I am a prolific long term student and teacher of meditation, and ex yoga teacher and my work continues to be greatly inspired by Eastern approaches such Mindfulness. However, I am also passionate about the bridging of science and spirituality - researching all of the modalities I use, with an onus on evidence basedtechniques and practices.Compassion starts and ends with compassion for those unwanted parts of ourselves.My work encourages people to approach those parts of themselves with gentle curiosity - and to make peace with themselves.Ultimately that peace finally comes about when we are able to make peace with our lack of peace.When we become comfortable with this inevitable reality, we are often more able to apply this compassionate non judgemental openness to our creativity and our lives.When this shift in thinking occurs, an underlying sense of changeless peace and joy - which is not dependent on external circumstances - may begin to emerge.
