During my masters degree I conducted a research project into improving urban flood resilience in Loughborough through the use of Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS). The project aims to suggest potential sites for SuDS implementation through ArcGIS analysis of the Wood Brook catchment.

Roles include researching live projects, gathering background information, and conducting site visits. Producing maps using GIS and assisting with forming a Landscape Ecological Management Plan and Environmental Impact Assessments.

I have greatly enjoyed my time working in a busy commercial environment in a local farm shop while completing my studies. I worked in a range of departments including food manufacture and most aspects of the farm shop’s business, developing an understanding of the agricultural sector. It has given me an insight to the way food is grown, manufactured, distributed, and sold. I organised and ran the GFS stall at local farming events including the Southwell Ploughing Match, managing junior staff, and interacting with customers.
