Level 3 HR support apprenticeship 09/2021-06/2023, resulted in a permanent role within the team

Duty Manager at Booths supermarket. I was responsible for the opening and closing of the building, overseeing maintenance carried out in store and handling customer and colleague queries. When working as Duty Manager, I was the most senior person in store.

Trading Team Leader at Booths supermarket. I was responsible for organising, guiding and leading a team to ensure completion of daily tasks. I utilised everyones strengths and weaknesses in order to accomplish goals. I liaised with management to develop the right strategies so store standards stayed high and the store in general ran as smoothly as possible. I was also responsible for being a mentor to my team and had to make sure they performed to the best of their abilities by monitoring their progress to ensure it was on track.

Customer assistant at Booths supermarket. I was responsible for giving information, answering customer queries or passing them on to the appropriate department and helping with inventory and stock issues.

Waitress at the prestigious café/tearoom in Ilkley. This role provided me with a range of responsibilities from taking orders and making recommendations and upselling to customers, to liaising effectively with Back of House and Management teams to keep the service running smoothly. This was a fast paced environment when customer turnover was high therefore time management was key.

Confectionery Assistant at Bettys Craft Bakery in Harrogate, in which I was responsible for producing and decorating a variety of cakes, biscuits and chocolate products to brand, food hygiene and health & safety standards. This was a fast paced role which required a lot of attention to detail.
