I worked with Government clients, usually on their large transformations - from strategy to the practical steps that supported them towards their future. These transformations often included a significant ICT enabler, and had multi-billion dollar budgets.With well-defined moves from A-B becoming an outdated concept, my work focused more on helping to build thinking, systems and behaviours that supported ongoing adaptation - and ideally self-generating self-managing change.

I established and grew a change management capability within the Project Delivery division that managed $1.2B in projects over a 5 year cycle. These projects were predominantly major infrastructure and ICT focused. This CM capability integrated with the program's matrix resourcing model, enabling flexible and efficient CM support. I also provided business design support to the PMO.

The Transparency Project required humanitarian aid donors, managers and recipients to become financially transparent, and to report on their programs in terms of outcomes, rather than inputs. Initially it was believed that this would involve a change in communication regarding activities but it soon became clear that access to reliable information on program management and outcomes was limited. I worked with a small team and multiple AusAID stakeholders to establish the reporting measures and mechanisms to create visibility of the required data and information, and then worked with stakeholders to build the websites in a way that would provide consistent and logical access to the information. This project was driven by a PM Kevin Rudd commitment, and was held to a very tight deadline.
