The Generator is a newly established entrepreneurship hub at the heart of Monash University. The core mission is to foster an entrepreneurial mindset amongst students, staff, alumni and the community around Monash through the delivery of events, programs and education. The Generator also works with emerging startups to help them launch, iterate and grow through our Accelerator program and seed fund. My role as Community Builder is to work with key champions, stakeholders and student groups across Monash to help grow what we do, build a vibrant community and ultimately provide all students with an experience of entrepreneurship. I believe that entrepreneurial skills are the key to thriving in the shifting world of work. An entrepreneurial mindset is about discovering meaningful problems and building solutions that actually matter. The vehicle you use to build solutions may be to launch a startup, but it could also be using whatever resources you have available to just launch something meaningful.

The team have recently launched 'The Generator', Monash University's start-up accelerator program that aims to drive a culture of entrepreneurship across the staff and student community and support the creation of new ventures.
