About Helen Alexandra Wesson

I have 15 years experience in the education and healthcare sectors, all in research, policy and evidence based roles. I've worked in universities, charities, the NHS and the police, and also freelance, the latter being on evaluations and a scoping review for a government department and for a UK road safety charity. I worked for the Alzheimer's Society until late June 2023, the leading charity for all dementia and Alzheimer's conditions in the UK. My life outside work includes bringing up our very active, happy and talented 7 year old son, weekly orchestral playing (violinist of 33 years), and daily fitness activity (I am never far away from the gym, running outside or on our garage treadmill and spin bikes). I have raced in three half marathons during 2022 and 2023, with a PB finishing time of 2:08.
