Helen is an experienced pharmacist with over 20 year's experience of working in the NHS in strategic roles with a variety of organisations and partners. She has extensive experience of change management and system reform across health communities and networks both NHS and non-NHS, which includes clinical settings, social care, prison healthcare and domiciliary care. She is an enthusiastic and determined professional with the ability to think and work strategically. She has effective listening and communication skills with the ability to negotiate successfully without causing confrontation. Gaining the support and commitment from clinicians and managers is one of the most important factors in improving quality of care - Helen has achieved much through building good relationships, and encouraging others to do the same. She is very experienced at communicating with people at all levels within and outside the NHS and has built up and maintained an extensive network of contacts.Helen is was until recently the Director of the North West Medicines Management Network (www.mmnetwork.nhs.uk), which has operated as a small niche market networking business hosted by the NHS since 2002. During this time she was also the DH Lead for Medicines Out-of-hours, author of three key national policy documents on Out of hours Medicines and is still instrumental in the North West in leading initiatives which promote and support Joint working between the NHS and the Pharma Industry.
