On a freelance basis, and with organisations such as Make Some Noise, Frontline Dance and Arts for Health, I am a part of an array of projects which involve experimenting with musical instruments, lyric writing, composition and performance. These workshops aim to improve mental wellbeing, enhance self esteem and reduce loneliness. In addition, whilst working across care homes and hospitals, the music workshops aim to support physical movement as well as speech and language.

I deliver art and weaving workshops to individuals of all ages within the community and across schools. Following my weaving scholarship at Penland School of Craft in North Carolina, USA, I have been able to demonstrate how to make woven pieces using modern, textural techniques.

At Ingestre Arts, I worked across the music and art classrooms, and delivered a range of songwriting, instrumental, performance and art workshops. I additionally had the opportunity of offering short meditations to the children during their lunch times.

Throughout the duration of the exhibition at Spode, I was regularly invigilating the exhibition, supporting artists and helping to install and take down their work, and assisting in workshops for children and adults.The ceramicists who I assisted included Sam Bakewell and Steve Dixon.

In June, I travelled to North Carolina for three months to study a ceramics course and I gained a scholarship to pursue an intensive weaving course at Penland School of Craft. I also had the opportunity to work for a renowned Japanese potter called Akira Satake. I assisted with selling his pottery and I also served herbal tea and cake!

During my time at Abbots Bromley school, I had the opportunity to assist in the classrooms and prepare for classes alongside loading the kiln, mixing glazes, assisting with exhibitions and running craft workshops for the children.
