My job is to introduce technologies and process that improve project execution, transparency, communication, and community-building for hybrid and remote employees. Led the effort to devise, build, and launch the Reader Rewards Loyalty Program, creating a customized experience for our readers. Offering personalized recommendations daily created a deeper, more authentic relationship with our consumers, leading to an increase in return traffic of 122% and time on site of 400%, not to mention hundreds of thousands of new data points collected about consumers preferences, and easier mechanisms for reacting quickly to consumer feedback. Made team learning and development a cornerstone of my responsibilities. Created and facilitated multiple training sessions on a variety of subjects for both my direct reports and larger cross-functional teams I was a part of, with the goal of better communication, fulfillment, and productivity at work. Spearheaded consumer website strategy focused on a holistic consumer journey across all our sites. Devised site enhancements with the product team to enable traffic growth, increased engagement, and more personalized experiences.

Penguin Random House

Oversaw the creation and continuous improvement of a growing suite of ten products that included both consumer websites and marketing tools. Presented to senior management on product growth and development. Acted as internal evangelist for sites and marketing tools, identifying appropriate audiences to target for each project in an organization of more than 5,000 people.Owned the KPI Dashboard for the product line, with a focus on email acquisition, user preference data, and site personalization. Defined business objectives, set goals, and recommend tactics to improve KPI’s. Continuously innovated new levers for growth.Acted as product owner for corporate website. Led a team of 40+ people including developers, content creators, subject matter experts, designers, BAs, and QA resources to build and launch the first unified consumer-facing website for the newly-merged Penguin Random House (April 2015 launch).

*Mobile Experience*Conceived, executed, and launched 18 mobile products for both iOS and Android with no budget, by fostering partnerships (instead of contracting) with top interactive agencies. Several apps were collaborations with the app marketing and business development teams at Apple. Tracked app metrics through Flurry and made improvements in updates, resulting in higher usage, increased downloads and new promotion opportunities.*Website Experience*Launched two high-profile websites for HarperCollins business clients in a two-month and four-month timeframe, respectively. Integrated new affiliate sales program for Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Borders, which contributed to an average of 3,500 additional books sold per month.

Acquired and/or line-edited more than 75 book projects. Wrote press releases, and composed info sheets for the sales force that included book description, competitive analysis, and key selling points. Acted as in-house spokesperson for authors. Recognized with a merit award in 2008 for being a motivated team player.

Negotiated business partnerships with licensor clients to create book series. Defined the voice of the jacket and marketing copy, adapting to multiple writing styles for various audiences, with emphasis on keeping the tone and style consistent for series and brands.

Wrote original content for licensor websites such as www.seventeen.com and www.marykateandashley.com. Coordinated photo shoots for book covers including hiring and directing the photographer, models, clothing, and props.
