As a PhD student I worked with characterizing our newest tuberculosis (TB) vaccine candidate using the mouse model. My research was centered on identifying and understanding protective immunity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) – both during natural Mtb infection and after vaccination. Design of and execution of animal experiments. Data analyses and article writing. Culturing of mutant Mtb strains. Trained in a foreign Biosafety Class III Laboratory.
